Dan joined Kearney, Donovan & McGee, LLC directly after serving four-terms in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Dan has a deep understanding of the issues and processes that shape public policy in the Commonwealth. With a proven track-record and a diverse cross-section of public sector, public policy and political campaign management experience, Dan has the strategic insight and strong relationships to deliver results for his clients.
Work Experience
First elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 2013, representing the 12th Suffolk District in Boston, Dan most recently served as Acting-Chair of the Joint Committee on Health Care Financing. Dan was also appointed to the Commonwealth Resilience and Recovery Special Committee which was tasked with analyzing the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and developing potential legislative solutions to assist in the economic recovery. During his time in the legislature, Dan also served on the Committees on Ways & Means; Financial Services; and Telecommunications, Utilities & Energy, among others.
Dan got his start in the Massachusetts State House as an intern and then as Director of Constituent Services for then State Representative, now United States Secretary of Labor, Martin J. Walsh. As State Representative, Dan remained active in the City of Boston serving on Mayor Walsh’s Transition Team and on the Mayor’s Housing Advisory Taskforce.
Dan has also served as an investigator in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Fair Labor Division, as Communications Director on the Boston City Council and in key positions on multiple statewide and local political campaigns
